Message from the President

Greetings Mothers & Friends! Welcome to The Woodlands Chapter (TWC) of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. My name is LaQuita Carter and I am honored to serve as the 2017-19 President of TWC to support approximately 45 mothers and families. It is my pleasure to share the wonderful world of Jack and Jill with you through the TWC website. This platform is designed to provide you with valuable information about the events and activities of our local chapter. As you peruse our website, you will see that TWC is committed to engaging in quality community service while providing children with social, cultural, and educational opportunities that make a difference in our community. Through the collective efforts of our families we have been rated Superior for our high quality programming that embodies the standards that we were founded upon in 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our organization was founded by twenty mothers who came together to create a medium of contact to stimulate growth and development among children. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers who are dedicated to nurturing future leaders by providing opportunities for children (ages 2-19) through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. We believe every child can be a leader. TWC has been serving the Spring, Woodlands, and Montgomery areas for thirty years. We have continued the lasting legacy of our 18 charter members who further executed the vision in our local community. TWC is honored to continue pursuing excellence for our families in the South Central Region. In an effort to leverage our skills and talents across the country we follow the National Theme “The Power to Make a Difference”, by giving our children the power to learn and succeed, the power to understand and value our African American heritage and the power to unify and inspire change. We achieve these goals through monthly programming, which is designed to develop tomorrow's leaders. I encourage you to journey with us as our families use our time, talents, and treasures to make a difference in our communities. LaQuita
